Accents Fine Home Interiors and Gifts is a labor of love that was born out of many late night talks and planning about the future between owner Laura Patterson and her husband, Joseph. Creativity and design have been a passion of hers since she was a little girl, but as she grew up, life took her into the medical field where she worked as an Emergency room nurse for almost a decade. Though it was where God had her for that season of life, she knew she wanted to do something different; something more for her family. With the prompting from her husband and family she took a huge leap of faith and opened Accents Fine Home Interiors and Gifts in November 2007.

Our roots are grounded in home decor and decorative accessories. Laura’s goal was to provide a place for beautiful and unique accents for the home that were for every home. She wanted the store to be an inviting and livable space. Over the years we have evolved into a home decor store and gift shop for all occasions. Accents sells many one-of-a-kind and home-spun items for many artisans all over the states, many of which have become her dearest friends. In August of 2012, we moved from our original space of 1800 sq. feet to the existing space of well over 4000 sq. feet. And in March 2019, we had the official opening of our SECOND location, Accents at Midtown, located at the District at Midtown in Hattiesburg. Then in 2022, Accents expanded again! We grew into our original space to create a Bridal Suite for our dinnerware, glassware, serveware, and more.

Accents Fine Home Interiors and Gifts offers bridal, baby, and gift registries. It is Laura’s, as well as her employees’, passions to help bring beauty and happiness to your life. Our staff is very knowledgable and eager to help you find the perfect accents for your home, or that perfect gift for any occasion from birthdays, to holidays, and everything in between.

As Laura says, it is her personal privilege to serve this community and fulfill a lifelong passion to create and see the labor of love come to life. She loves having customers from all over the region who she now gets to call friends.
